Our partnership allows CPS teachers to apply their LBS1 and Bilingual/ESL endorsement courses toward a Master of Arts degree in the following areas, substantially reducing the already low costs of these online and blended graduate degrees.
The Master of Arts in Second Language Special Education (SLSE) prepares licensed teachers to effectively instruct English Language Learners and students with special needs. Upon completion of the online and blended program, candidates will be eligible to add both the Bilingual/ESL and LBS1 endorsements to their Illinois teaching licenses.
The Master's in Literacy Leadership (MA) prepares licensed teachers to become effective and democratic leaders in language and literacy learning. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be eligible to add either the reading specialist, reading teacher, or bilingual/ESL endorsement to their Illinois teaching licenses.
The MA degree in Dual Language Teacher Leadership (DLTL) prepares teachers to teach, and lead, in dual language programs and schools. Offered online and in a unique summer residency format, the program leads to the bilingual/ESL and teacher leader endorsements.

CPS teachers can pay their tuition in full, create a four month payment plan, or make arrangements for their school to pay.
